From the can it pours a hazy yellow color. A large frothy head retains well.
The nose is very fruity with notes of tropical, stone and citrus fruit. Aromas of peach, apricot, mango, orange, lemon and lime are complimented by notes of grass and pine.
Light bodied with a semi crisp mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. The palate is dry overall and full of hops flavors supported by a dry and crisp cracker malt base. More citrus forward as I do not detect as many tropical and stone fruit flavors as I did in the aroma. Pithy flavors of grapefruit, orange and lime are complimented by spicy, grassy, piney and peppery herbal notes. The bitterness is smooth and subtle, while the finish is dry and zesty with a lemony and peppery kick.
I’m not the biggest fan of session IPA, but at least the malt body on this one had some substance to support the interesting hops character.
