Went to KCBC last week for the first time in ages as I wanted to get this beer since I figured it would not be available here in New Jersey. I miss being in the city for work and it's beers like this that had me glad that I was able to get my hands on so many over the years, before the pandemic hit. This was worth going in to get as it was easily one of the better brews that I've had from these guys and worth going in to get!

Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was a deep apricot with a nice amount of light seeping into it and a good head topping it off. Most of the lacing left behind was in a thick ring near the top of my pint glass with a thin ring below that and some splotchy areas the rest of the way down. Lovely aroma to this with tons of stone fruit, apricot, and lychee in the nose as the taste just burst forth with all of those. Lots of exotic jack fruit and exotic tropical notes to go along with the overt as the Galaxy and Mosaic were all forward, but plush at the same time. A strong tangerine creamsicle emerged once this fully warmed up, as it countered the heavier fruit notes quite nicely. The dankness also grew in heft as I worked my way through this as there was a basic, doughy mouthfeel to give this body and stay in the background throughout my session.

Canned on 9/10 (my birthday) nothing written on the bottom of the can, this was super soft and super fresh in every way. Hardly any sign of the alcohol, aside from a touch of warmth, as this as every bit as good as the best that I've had from Greenpoint, SingleCut, Other Half, or the New England breweries. Ripe and dewy in the end, this was an IPA that I'd easily get again, even if it's next year's take on it! Get this before it goes...

L -- Very hazy golden orange in the glass with two fingers of dense solid white head produced with moderate pour. Good retention and great lacing
S -- Mostly getting aromas that are characteristic of Nelson and Citra hops. Lots of cattiness, white grape, dank citrus, bit of mixed berry from the Mosaic. Also a hint of creamsicle yeast character
T -- Largely follows the nose. A bit more towards the juicy, low-bitterness citrus (tangerine, clementine, orange). The very pale malt bill is almost too sweet, but not quite
F -- Medium mouthfeel, medium carb. Very restrained bitterness throughout. Could have a bit more body to it
