Cellared can from 2021.
Thin tan head quickly dissipates.
Aroma faint, but mostly cinnamon.
Taste is overall good, but again, heavy on cinnamon. Other flavors faded over time, but cinnamon was strong with this one!
Smooth and silky and very drinkable. Alcohol/heat have been subdued
4 years later, it's not quite a symphony, but a cinnamon solo performance

Symphony of Bones from KCBC Brewers. Received on 16/3/21 from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA. $5.00 (Including tax) per 16 oz can ($ 0.3125/oz). In reefer at store, stored at home at 42 degrees. Reviewed 5/7/21. Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Bottom of can stamped “CANNED ON 02/17/21”. Served at 51.0 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 61.7 degrees.
Appearance – 3.5.
First pour – Brown (SRM 20), clear.
Body – Black (SRM 40), opaque. When rear-lite, slight penetration at the edges.
Head – Tiny (Maximum one cm, aggressive center pour), fallow, high density and fizzy, short retention, diminishing to a one mm crown constantly being replenished by rapid carbonation and no cap.
Lacing – None.
Aroma – 3.5 – Begins with virtually no aroma - no hops, no yeast, no coffee, no coconut.
Flavor – 4 – Begins slightly sweet and slightly oily with virtually no distinct flavors - no malt, no hops, no yeast, no coconut, no coffee, no cinnamon. A slight spiciness is felt in the oral mucosa, probably due to the cinnamon. No ethanol (14 % ABV, as marked on container) taste although there is a strong backwash on the aftertaste as the glass warms. Still not unpleasant. Gastric burning initially does occur, but this quickly ameliorates to a bright glow. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl.
Palate – 4 – Full, creamy approaching syrupy, lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 4 The ABV blasts any change for lacing and contributes to the rapid demise of the head. The flavors blend well without permitting any to lead although the lack of aroma was surprising. I raised the final rating from 3.75 for a couple of extrinsic factors – they legibly list the ingredients and date on the can in non-microscopic print and they used Warrior hops. Overall, a surprisingly good brew.

Picked up a can for a $7 fee into a imperial pint glass. I can tell it's a pretty high octane beer the head pretty much dissipated into nothing visiting out very quickly but the beer itself is a nice deep dark black. Smell is kind of lacking I get some coffee maybe a hint of chocolate and a twang of cinnamon. Taste is way better! Very sweet good amount of fudgy chocolate mild vanillas and a very nice cinnamon finish. Body is pretty medium to heavy you can't really taste any alcohol in the flavor but you can tell it's there.
Personally I love big sweet imperial stouts and this hits all the marks! Well done guys!

Black with a modest light brown head. Very pretty aroma: chocolate fudge, cinnamon, caramel & coconut. Lots of sweet flavor with slightly salty finish: chocolate fudge, lactose, cinnamon, coffee, rye & alcohol. The coffee & coconut flavors are weaker than expected, but it is still complex & delicious. Feel is very thick, like heavy cream. There is no heat felt in the mouth or stomach, I’d never guess it has 14% ABV. This pastry Stout makes for a delicious dessert.
