Thus far I have enjoyed KCBC beer, I thought one of the triple hops was just okay. I am looking forward to this one it is Citra and Galaxy hops. As usual, the labels on their beers are stellar. The beer is 46 degrees and served in a tulip glass. The pour created a white two-fingered creamy, airy, and billowy head. The retention on the head is excellent and left lacing on the glass as it dissipated. The lacing is chunky and elegant. The color of the beer is SRM 4, pale gold with straw yellow hues. This beer is hazy, typical of NEIPA. The beer appearance is above average.
The initial aroma in the beer is tangerines, pineapple, peaches, mangos, and floral esters. Nosing further I detect lightly toasted crackers, a touch of pharmaceutical, guava, passion fruit, and subtle honey-like sweetness.
The flavors in the beer are tangerines, lemons, pineapple, peaches, mangos, floral esters, a hint of herbal, guava, passions fruit, peaches, toasted crackers, lightly toasted malts, and a honey-like sweetness.
The mouthfeel of the beer is creamy, slightly astringent, and crisp.
The body of the beer is medium, medium carbonation, and full finish.
The Citra and Galaxy hops shine with a firm malt backbone. This beer is awesome with great flavors.
