Pours a hazy, almost murky, blood orange color. A moderate head rapidly dissipates.
The nose opens funky with notes of sour fruit. Tart aromas of dragon fruit, passion fruit, guava, lemon and lime are contrasted by the sweetness of banana, vanilla and creamy milk sugar.
Sour and mouth puckering taste interplay’s nicely with bright and fruity flavors. Tart notes of passion fruit, dragon fruit, guava and banana. Malt flavors evoke sourdough and wheat. The lactose sweetness is well hidden, and along with notes of vanilla, provides a nice contrast with to the acidity. The finish is bone dry with notes of lemon and lime.
Medium bodied with a smooth, kind of chewy mouthfeel. The carbonation is moderate.
One of the better fruited sours I’ve had this summer. Bright and refreshing with some great mouth puckering tartness. I would have again.
