Aged in NY rye whiskey barrels (courtesy of our friends at NY Distilling Co) and conditioned on ethically sourced organic cacao nibs from Ghana (courtesy of our friends at Fine & Raw), Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla beans, and medium-light roast coffee beans from the Yandaro region in Burundi (courtesy of our friends at Spectrum Coffees). Warm espresso, fudgy chocolate, a touch of dark fruit, and a dangerously smooth finish. Proceeds to benefit the Michael James Jackson Foundation for Brewing & Distilling. This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This one smells like chocolate chip cookie dough, roasty coffee, vanilla, oak, spice, and dark chocolate.
This really turned out well. There's definitely a huge chocolate chip cookie dough vibe here, like eating a handful of cookie dough alongside a high quality cup of coffee. The coffee is roasty, bright, and very chocolatey. There's also some solid vanilla and barrel character.
This is medium bodied, creamy, well-balanced and not all that boozy.
This was highly impressive, and maybe the best KCBC beer that I've had yet.
