Aged in NY rye whiskey barrels (courtesy of our friends at NY Distilling Co) and conditioned on ethically sourced organic cacao nibs from Ghana (courtesy of our friends at Fine & Raw), Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla beans, and toasted coconut. Dark-chocolate-dipped-macaroons, liquid velvet, and a dangerously smooth finish. Proceeds to benefit the Michael James Jackson Foundation for Brewing & Distilling. **Contains lactose!

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like rye whiskey, spicy oak, toasted coconut, and dark chocolate.
I think I liked the coffee version of this barrel aged stout a little bit better, as the coffee works better with the barrel than the coconut. Nonetheless, in a vacuum, this beer is still quite tasty. The rye barrels are really nice here, adding caramel and lots of spice to the beer, with a subtle but tasty amount of coconut, with a little bit of vanilla.
This is medium bodied, pretty creamy, with some slight booziness, and a good drinkability.
KCBC is definitely one of the more underrated breweries in the city and the state itself.
