This beer has a hazy yellow complexion and a three inch, loose white hat that stands well above the rim for quite a while. Unsurprisingly, big patches of lace cling to the wall of a Pretentious Glass Company Founder's Series IIPA glass.
Orange and grapefruit lead the aroma with wet pine straw and burnt rubber following. In general, the aroma opens nicely before turning in an unpleasant direction.
The flavor is quite bitter, with sweetness putting up a pathetic resistance. Soapy astringency and old orange juice lead to a lingering finish.
This one has a full body and soft texture similar to neoprene. The alcohol is far more present than expected, and carbonation fills the throat.
This review was made with the last can of a four pack. Freshness is greatly noticeable in the earlier cans, suggesting a steep depreciation after about two months. The scores here are a composite of the four pack, with the initial cans being a quarter to a half point better in all categories, and the last can about a quarter to a half point less than reported here.

This one pours a hazy rusted orange color, with a big fluffy head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like marijuana, orange peel, pineapple, and floral/soap-like aromas.
KCBC usually hits the spot for me, but this is a bit much in a few ways. It’s got a slick and almost soap-like taste – it’s almost too creamy, with a sort of bitter/stale cream of wheat vibe on the palate. It’s also weirdly bitter on the finish, and very floral, edging into soap/detergent status. The orange, pineapple, and marijuana dankness is nice, but the bones of this IPA are just not there.
This is extremely creamy, but doesn’t finish smooth enough for what you’d expect.
This is definitely one of the lesser beers that I’ve had from this brewery.
