Collaboration with Wild East Brewing Co.
Dark, diabolical, divine. Notes of black chocolate, warm bread, and a touch of charred wood. Czech-grown Saaz & Kazbek hops lend a layer of earthy spice, and floor-malted Bohemian pils malt keeps it smooth and crisp. Death becomes us all, eventually. Fortunately eternal damnation never tasted so good.

A tasty lager from a brewery I haven't experienced before. Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, this beer featured a dense black color with some reddish light coming through at the bottom of the glass when held to a light. Aroma and flavor included lots of toasted bready malt and some mild earthy/herbal hoppiness. Good sized frothy white head with decent amount of lacing. I didn't get the chocolate that the brewer mentioned on the can. In all, the flavor was good and balanced. The maltiness did not come across as too sweet. Mouthfeel was crisp and light, like a good lager. This beer would be quite sessionable. Light .abv, but plenty of taste.

A: The beer is black when viewed from afar but when held up to a bright light the bottom of the glass is clear dark red in color. It poured with a quarter finger high light beige head that left a thin collar around the edge, a small patch of bubbles on the surface and specks of lacing clinging to the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of chocolate and nutty malts are present in a nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is dominated by flavors of malts and hints of earthy hops. While no bitterness is perceptible, there are enough underlying hops to prevent any malty sweetness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied, clean and a bit smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has the type of flavor profile you would expect from a nut brown ale but the clean body you would expect from a lager. It is very easy to drink considering the maltiness.
