Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The brew pours a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of thick off-white foam. The head has a fantastic level of retention, fading very slowly and leaving a ton of streaky and foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – the aroma is quite heavy of an herbal and vegetal hop aroma mixed with notes of some tropical and citrus fruits of papaya, mango, and tangerine. Along with these smells comes a grainy cracker smell mixed with a bit of sawdust and pine. Some light notes of harvest fruit and a bit of grass and hay round it all out, producing a rather odd, but interesting smell.
Taste – the taste starts with a crisp cracker and green grape taste mixed with some grain and a bit of the tangerine and papaya that were in the nose. There is a moderate showing of hop upfront as well, with a strong grapefruit and herbal presence, along with some of the vegetal notes that were in the nose. As the taste advances forward there is more hop, with a dwindling of the sweeter fruit tastes. A touch of lemongrass and pepper join in, and with a hit of hay and a increase in some earthy hops, one is left with a rather nice and crisp taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp for a brew of its abv. with a carbonation level that is moderate, consisting of fizzy and prickly bubbles. The feel is quite appropriate for the crisp tastes and makes for an easy sipper.
Overall – I rather enjoyed this brew. Quite different in taste from the fruit juice forward IPA’s that currently saturate the market. Would certainly do this one again, and would recommend for at least giving a try.

Medium copper in color with a slight cloudy appearance. Viscous white head that leads to quite impressive lacing. Nose is slightly piney with hints of pineapple. Taste is very piney with a surprise bitterness on the front that fades fairly quickly as it passes the entire palate. My desire is a full on bitterness across the palate with some lingering, that is not really there.
