One pint can was completely emptied into a clear glass liter mug for observation. The brew is apricot-amber in color, with just a little excessive white head, almost expected from something with wheat included in the wort. It really doesn't smell all that enticing, as there's a perfume-llke aspect that some wheat beers give out. There's nothing malty in the aroma, yet this is supposed to be an IPA. Hops are there to be had by the nose, but other than mildly astringent, there's not much else. To taste, there's a sharp, perhaps citrusy hop bite that mellows, rather than becoming more pronounced, as it goes through the mainstream, then finishing stages. Overall, it's just another modestly pleasant modern American IPA. Devoid of any real malty backbone, its sweetness is shallow and contributes little to the taste. There isn't enough complex hoppiness to compensate for that. The oats and what barley there is, give this a nice mouthfeel that's soft, smooth, supple and yet easily drinkable. The 8% ABV is easily missed because of how pleasantly this goes down. This is a readily drinkable Double IPA, especially if it's the buzz and not the intricate tastes you prefer in yours. Traditional IPA lovers will want some more. Like most foamy beers, the glass lacing was irregular and unattractive.

Pours a cloudy golden orange with a finger of foamy head that slowly dissipates to a thin ring with some lacing. Aroma of grapefruit and citrus. Taste follows nose.

Canned 8/28/24.
L: Pours a hazy gold with a big white fluffy head that stays. Gorgeous thick sticky lacing.
S: Aromas of lemon lime and grapefruit.
T: Orange and lemon up front, followed by tropical flavors, including pineapple. Finishes slightly dry with just a touch of bitterness. No alcohol heat.
F: Medium mouthfeel and carbonation.
O: The citrus to tropical flavor profile is well executed, although it doesn't quite match the stellar appearance.
