Based off the historic style ale, toasted Carolina gold rice makes for an easy-drinking slightly sweet ale. Reminiscent of a darker American cream ale made with pale malt, corn grits, and caramel malts.

On tap at brewery into plastic cup. Pours lightly hazy medium orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention and soapy lacing on the cup. Aromas and flavors of big bread dough, corn, cracker, wood, peppercorn, pine, herbal, floral, grass, lager yeast earthiness. Medium pine pepper herbal bitter finish. Crisp clean refreshing nearly bone dry finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium, body. Balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hop mouthfeel. Lovely, Fantastic California common for the style!
