At 10% ABV, this mammoth Porter is fermented with Lager yeast and then aged for 4 months in one of our large oak foeders. Notes of cherry and plum are found in the aroma, while flavors of oak, vanilla and coffee round out the flavor of this beer. Perfect for the changing of the seasons.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a short off white head that quickly settled down, leaving a a short layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of dark and roasted malts are present in the nose along with some notes of coffee.
T: The taste follows the smell and has some flavors of roasted malts and with hints of coffee beans.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer does an excellent job at hiding any traces of alcohol from the taste and is rather drinkable for the style.

Bottled on 12-12-16.Pours into a half liter stein a deep garnet infused mahogany color with a thick pillow-like tan colored head atop.Aromas have a bit of a different tinge to them with chocolate, roasted nuts, and a hint of a cider-like element, definitely acidic but can't quite put a finger on it.Man the feel is just sublime thick and creamy, just lush and out of this world!Very chocolate forward on the palate over top of coffee roast and maybe a hint of buttery caramel and alcohol soaked raisins.Very complex and rich in flavor and feel,if not for the slight off acidic note in the nose this would be world class,it's pretty frickin awesome as is.
