Durty Bull’s Mango Lassi IPA pours a foggy yellow reminiscent of a hazy lemonade, or Belgian-style witbier. It’s thick frothy head disappears after a sip or two.
The Mango rind scent is apparent right off the bat, blending into an assertive hop aroma.
It’s aggressively hopped first sip keeps the juicy mouth feel from being too sweet. The Initial fruity sweetness is limited by the sour oils of the mango rind and pairs well with the hops. A highly carbonated seltzery crisp finish is refreshing keeps from a overwhelming sweet or hoppy mouth feel. It’s bitter finishing note feels more acidic then hoppy and lingers maybe more then it should.
All together one of the better balanced ‘fruity’ IPAs, worthy of a try if you get the chance.
