Poured from can into a pint glass. It pours a rich mahogany .color with deep cola hues, and sports almost a finger of foamy, light khaki-colored head ad lacing. Its nose includes roasted malt, freshly-brewed coffee, nuts, tobacco smoke, and just a whiff of chocolate. The taste opens with roasted dark bread, earthy char, burnt nuts, and coffee grounds. As it warms in the glass there is more than a hint of chocolate sweetness. It's mouthfeel is lite and crisp with pleasant carbonation, and it's super easy to drink at only 4.8% ABV. Overall, this is a solid Czech Dark Lager and a welcome brew on a warm spring day.
