An ode to one of our favorite holiday films, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. This is a West Coast Style IPA brewed with German Amarillo, Chinook, and Centennial hops- which bring forth notes of pineapple dankness. Collaboration with Glass Jug Brew Lab.

A: Pours a hazy medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + pale yellow + apricot colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall creamy sudsy foamy bright white head that reduces to a handful of medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit pith + tropical/pineapple + pine hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + pale + cereal grain malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + pale + cereal grain malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit pith + tropical/pineapple + pine hops which impart a light amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly soft/fluffy.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol but a confused slightly soft/fluffy mouthfeel which does not match with the bitterness. Kind of a confused beer - advertises as a West Coast IPA but lacks the crispness/dryness and aggressive bitterness.
