300ml pour on-draught @ the brewpub for 160 baht.
A: 2.5cm wide head of white colour. Retention is above average - about 4 minutes. Leaves inconsistent lacing as it recedes.
Body is a translucent transparent yellow-copper of average vibrance. No yeast/lees are visible.
Looks decent for its style.
Sm: Lemon zest, Noble Hops and concomitant grassiness, pils malts, and a blip of sweeter malt (which cheapens it somewhat).
Aromatic intensity is subdued.
T&Mf: Crisp pils malts, Noble hop character, a blip of buttery diacetyl, and cheap pale malt. Shallow, simple, and decently balanced, but far from gestalt in terms of its build.
Overcarbonated, smooth, wet, light bodied, crisp, semirefreshing.
O: A drinkable but forgettable lager, though nevertheless one of the best (i.e. least bad) Thai beers I've come across. Decent for pairing with food, but at this price you're better off with Chang Classic.
