Dark black with a medium brownish head.
The head starts out at two fingers but goes away rather quickly.
Smells of black coffee, slightly burnt bread crusts. Not overly aromatic.
Tastes of coffee, a little chocolate, a slight hint of raisins.
Medium carbonation and finishes dry. I don’t drink stouts too often but when I do this is something I’ll try again.

A: Pours a dark black, that is nearly opaque. A two finger beige head forms with good retention and plenty of lace left all the way down the glass.
S: Fairly neutral nose, with some roasted coffee, grains and light chocolate. Though you have to love the simplicity here.
T: Again, simple but excellent. Roasted coffee that is not overly bitter, chocolate and baked bread, light grains. Very nice.
M/O: A medium body, that actually seems a bit bigger than the alcohol would suggest. Which is a good thing, good carbonation that is ultra smooth and wonderfully dry. This is excellent to drink. I can come back to this all day.
An excellent version of an Irish Dry Stout that is not on Nitro. What the style should be, but hardly ever is. A simple roasted and grain character that is perfectly dry. Very moreish and well done.
