Handsome dark orangey amber with plenty of foam in the snifter. Warm and toasty. Lots of the wheaty, yeasty Belgian flavor. But the coarse carbonation leaves a flat mouthfeel after a couple of sips.
Overall this is marred by a persistent bitter aftertaste. But certainly one of the more drinkable beers from North Park. Of the several I've tasted, they seem to end up with an excessive and unpleasant bitterness in many of their beers, regardless of the style.
