Not exactly a Wee Heavy and not quite an English Barleywine, this decadent Scottish Barleywine pours a deep mahogany with ruby highlights and is crowned with an eggshell colored foamy top. The aroma is rich with deep caramel, earthy leather, and a kiss of dark dried fruits. The flavor offers a complex mélange of deep caramel, sweet toffee, earth, burnt brown sugars, molasses, and dark stone fruit. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with some warmth to the finish. Our buddy Harvey approves, so we named it after him.
