Lucky enough to be in San Diego when this one was released in January. A truly epic stout. Macaroons Before Dying pulls in the full essence of vanilla beans, comboed with coconut flakes. The brew has no carbonation and finishes as pure silk. There is no harsh bite from the rye but the barrel let's you know it is there. Got it super fresh and that probably helped secure this titanic rating. Cheers to this brewery and if you are in SD it is a must stop.

Sweet, sweet milk chocolate, hint of coffee, and hint of vanilla-coconut nose on this one! Taste follows with a decadent and creamy, chocolate/coconut/vanilla finish...a little roasty coffee vibe peeks out as it warms...but, the coffee/espresso notes are subdued IMO. Not much barrel on the backend either. This is definitely pastry with the sweetness upfront and viscosity on the palate! Delicious!
