Had on tap at Mortalis (Avon) as guest brew.
Blended BAIS that came across better than advertised…and stood out favorably drinking same time as Other Half BA Velvet Magnum (another guest tap) and Mortalis BA Thanatos.
NCBC opened with hints of cherry, berries and wood… arising from base malts, vanilla and nuttiness. No cloying over sweetness. Body is just about perfect in this style. Super smooth but no syrup, oiliness. I’ve had dozens of these types of huge adjuncted BAIS brews and am starting to find not a lot of difference, but to my taste this had some real standouts in nose, taste and body and really enjoyed this one.

On tap at Mortalis FLX in Avon, NY.
This one pours a very dark black color, with a very small head, and not much lacing.
This smells pretty nutty and sweet, with pistachio, milk chocolate, caramel, coconut, and lots of vanilla.
This is very decadent, very sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. It’s a pastry tsunami for sure, with coconut dominating, but the pistachio adding a nice dimension you don’t always see this in this style. It’s overall very fudgy and brownie-like.
This is pretty thick and creamy, with not much booziness.
This is fairly ridiculous, but enjoyable in a small pour.
