Very dark umber brown with plenty of dark beige foam in the New Belgium snifter. Interesting nutty and roasted grain aroma with hints of cocoa and xxx. Some malty sweetness which plays well with the frothy and lush mouthfeel. It's a very mellow and malty taste with just a hint of dark roast and maybe a whiff of something hoppy. This is one of the couple best Munich Dunkels I've had, and that includes the Germans. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea. "Canned on 12/04" presumably 2023.
