On tap at the Function taproom in PDX today. The bartender confirmed this is the QDH version of this beer (with the predicable price premium), so apparently this is is something extra special. Whatever.
The beer pours an opaque, hazy golden amber color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, this is a predicable juice bomb, with considerable tropical fruit, citrus, and light onion. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, with minimal bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, and finish is moderately long and smooth. As is typical with the IPAs from this brewery, there isn't an off flavor anywhere to be found. The beer is also very well balanced, and so drinkability is pretty good. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile.
This is obviously a solid, well made hazy IPA, but it's nothing extraordinary. The WCIPA's from this brewery are exceptional and noteworthy. This isn't.
