Did someone say “Freaky Friday”? We’re bringing a bit of New York to San Diego this week with the release of Jasper! Our besties at Fidens shot us the recipe for their beloved double dry-hopped Hazy Double IPA, and we’re pumped to share our take on it! This all-Citra heavy-hitter boasts tasting notes of orange zest, pine, and slight melon, along with aromas of pineapple Hi-Chew, bright citrus, and a splash of Hawaiian Punch.

Poured from can into snifter. The overwhelming flavor of this beer is similar to English tea. Nothing like the original from Fidens. Hoping it was a bad can.

Sweet tropical hoppy, slightly malty, and a subdued, orange citrus hoppy nose on this one! Taste follows with a slightly thin, orange-grapefruit citrus bitter finish. This is pretty good, but not close to the Fidens version IMO. It is lacking in Citra hop expression on the nose and palate and it finishes almost watery. Not sure what happened with the Fidens collabs this year, but they left me disappointed.
