Picked a bottle of The Stranded Coconut – Drifter up at Bootlegger’s in Sandton. It poured a hazy orangish copper with thin white head and no lace. The scent a mix of apple cider with hint of coconut. The taste is definitely apple cider with coconut potpourri essence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Overall its ok….there are better coconut beers out there. This is certainly worth a try and its nice to see the craft brews expanding in South Africa.
