32 ounce crowler into tulip glass, filled on 8/18/2019. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, red apple, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of banana, bubblegum, pine, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, red apple, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of banana, bubblegum, pine, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; and pepper/clove yeast spiciness on the finish. Light yeast tang/tartness. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, red apple, peppercorn, clove, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, banana, bubblegum, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Light lingering resins/rinds through the glass. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.8%. Overall this is a fantastic dry hopped saison. All around fantastic citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/spicy/drying finish; not overly aggressive. Fantastic Azacca showcase. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops with balanced Belgian yeast complexity; with a nice clean pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected.
