Pours an opaque deep gold; two fingers of frothy white foam; very good cap retention; heavy ring; soapy lace. Grapefruit, orange peel and a whiff of earthy hops. Bitter orange peel, grapefruit and a firm malt base. Medium light body; moderate carbonation; no astringency. Overall very enjoyable; light and easy drinking; tasty long bitter citrus linger.

can into glass
Cloudy, medium orange with yellow/gold, on the edge of glass. Malted, caramelized, mild tangerine peel aroma. Moderate, tangerine peel bite, with a trace of malt in the background. Mouthfeel is all citrus peel tartness. Finish is all citrus peel.

A honey color with a big haze. White foam cap spreads out, settles in with plenty leftovers.
A very true APA aroma, certainly hop dominated with sweet fruits, citrus and berries. A breast and grainy malt scent smells biscuity and earthy. A fine balance has been achieved.
First sip: clean! Crisp then smooth with a hoppy bite, grainy layers and breast malt all taste complex but true to style... Perhaps a new style??:: NEPA.
Crackery style malt crispness and some subtle honey undertones push it over the edge of delightfulness for me.
A righteous brew that is actually really fun to sip and relax with.

Enjoyed finding some of Upper Pass brews at the Brattleboro Co-Op was a find for one who is several states away and no access. Very nice beer.

Pours a completely hazy deep rusted orange topped with a dense couple fingers of pillowy, white froth; very nice retention, eventually fading to a web of stringy lacing circling the glass and a thick collar of foam.
Aroma is big and juicy upfront, with tangy orange, passionfruit, grapefruit zest, and tangerine all taking the lead; lighter notes of earthy hop spice, faint pine, and a calm dose of malty grain and straw; tons going on here, primarily citrus and plenty of earthy resin.
Taste trends similarly to the aroma, with notes of tangy, juicy tangerine, orange pulp, passionfruit, papaya, and grassy, herbal hops dominating upfront; a vague hop spice and a slight fruity tartness quickly fades back to softer, juicier fruit as the finish fades off.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, with lower carbonation integrated cooly with the juicy character, and clean save for a dense hop prickle on the far back end of the palate; the DDH treatment does this one well, pronouncing the brew’s juicier characteristics without allowing things to get ‘overfluffed’ and weighty on the palate.
A great take on a DDH pale ale, with some really interesting and pretty well-done depth added to the mix. As mentioned before, this one is really capped off by the great balance put toward the mouthfeel, which let the beer’s better qualities shine without overwhelming the tongue in resin; a nicely expressive but restrained pale ale.

Poured into a 13 oz Tired Hands Teku glass. Pours a very hazy dark orange with a massive 2 finger sticky white head that leaves some thick rings of lace.
Smell is papaya, tangerine, apricot, pineapple, and hints of grapefruit rind.
Taste follows papaya, tangerine, apricot, pineapple, and some grapefruit.
Mouthfeel is about medium, moderate life, not really dry, and very drinkable.
Overall this is a very nice APA, tropical with some subtle bitterness. These guys can brew some tasty brews.

First had poured from pint can, gift from friend, into nonic pint. This double dry-hopped ale is beautiful, fruity and malty, but perhaps a tad more bitter than I prefer from an America Pale Ale.
