Paying homage once again to our beloved town’s agricultural heritage, Field Stones gets its name for the ubiquitous stones known to stud the fields and pastures of the surrounding farmland. These stones would appear annually as the newly arable land would thaw, and as they were slowly picked out, they became the foundation for the picturesque stone walls we encounter so often in Vermont. Something small can also be mighty, and we think this beer is no different. A Belgian farmhouse yeast provides a bold and expressive character at first sip with notes of pear, fresh cut hay, spice and a hint of bubblegum. We dry-hopped Field Stones with American Loral and Ahtanum hops which provide a pleasant citrus and floral finish. Whether you’re relaxing after a day in the fields or just putting your feet up on a warm summer day, Field Stones will be a wonderful companion.
