Thanks to a northern Ohioan for tracking down a bottle of this for me. The bottle itself is beautiful with a yellow wax seal. It is also the first bottle of beer I have tried that employed both a bottle cap AND a cork. That is 3 layers of defense between me and a beer. The beer itself is a deep orange-amber color with a very thick and foamy bone white head. The lacing is very thick and sticky throughout. Lots of sweet fruit and allspice in the aroma. Medium-bodied, with an interesting fruit and spice flavor. Faint citrus throughout as well. There are also a lot of hops in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and tart. Although I am not all that familiar with the style, I enjoyed this one.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
