Sampled on tap. Opaque black somewhat viscous beer with minimal head. Yummy nose with almond, cheery and cognac dominating. Prunes, raisins, plums and sweet chocolate flavors with a boozy finish.

Had on tap at Magnolia's strong beer month in February.
Body is jet black. Small tan head dissipates quickly to a fine ring. Some trace lacing on the glass.
Nose is roasted malt and brown sugar.
Tastes of roasted malt, chocolate.
Body is light with fizzy carbonation.
I though this was tasty and drinkable, but way on the light side for an RIS. The 11.1% ABV is matched by the flavor, but can hit you quickly.

On tap at Alembic SF beer week.
A - Pours black with 1 finger of mocha head. Dissipates fast and leaves little lacing.
S/T - Chocolate and light caramel. That's it?
M - Full-bodied, well-balanced, and sweet.
D - Not bad. This beer had no distinguishing characteristics, no style. It fails to stand out.
