Billed as a special oak-aged version of the Smokestack Lightning, this is a good beer.
It showed up black in color with a tiny head. Lacing is minimal. The smell is very strong and pleasing, bringing hints of molasses on top of deep roasted malts. The taste is strong, with chocolate and dark malts dotted by hints of oak. The flavors reveal no hint of the substantial alcohol content.
