The waitress referred to it as an IPA, so thats what I classified it as. More of an APA or Harvest Ale really, but nice none the less. Clear copper color with a thin cream colored head. The head left a light lace. Overwhelming hop aroma. Strong grapefruit, pine, orange and a little grass. Taste has a lot of citrus grapefruit, its bitter, but not over the top. Mild sweetness on the finish. Slick mouth feel, very drinkable.

10/06/05- On cask at the Toronado in San Francisco, CA
Presentation- Cask-conditioned pour into a normal pint glass.
Appearance- Copper-amber colored pump. Light rim of a head and nice lace.
Smell- Very light touch of toasted malt followed by a nice layer of floral hops.
Taste- Lots of hops, but not the in your face kind. Not to fruity or floral. Semi-bitter. Well rounded malt flavor as well. Didn't think the malt would come through this much after smelling it.
Mouthfeel- Ultra low carbonation. A touch creamy and very smooth.
Drinkability- One of the better cask IPA's I have had. Very drinkable.

This arrived as a nice hefty shade of hold with a nice head that lasted well and left great lace.
The smell is interesting, being completely full of hops but having a nice quality of softness. The taste has solid malt content but the hops take over quickly and give it an excellent flavor right through the finish. The mouthfeel is very pleasing, and the drinkability is good.
Great stuff!
