Review from notes taken @ the brewpub on 3/306.
Beer labeled as an "Impreial Brown", listed as 8.0% ABV and 100 IBUs.
Pours a dark mahogany brown with a thin tan head. Thick lacing on the glass.
Aroma is caramel, cocoa, and a light nuttiness. A strong alcohol smell is present.
Taste is caramel with light cocoa and nutty flavors. There is also a slight breadiness. However, it's hindered by a strong alcohol presence.
Body seems slightly thin, could use a little more carbonation.
Not undrinkable, but the alcohol taste and smell keep me from wanting more.
