Poured a golden brown color with a small head. Aroma was toasted with the rye showing through. The taste was strong with a nice rye bite! I loved how bold it was on my taste buds. Biscuity with a chewy mouthfeel as well. It reminds me of a rye pale ale that I made with different hops. It's definitely a sessionable ale that would be a good first beer for someone who's never been to The Alchemist.

Bright gold-amber with a white head that hangs around a good long time. Aroma of caramel malt, rye graininess, and Cascades - really enticing.
Ohhh, this one's good. Imagine a basic well-made American pale ale. Now, add a level of complexity (think toasted grains and an aromatic rye-bread-like spiciness) that fills in all of the interest levels in that pale ale. Like a half-strength HotD Fred. Again, I'm amazed at the roundness of the mouthfeel that The Alchemist gets in their brews, especially one with 4.6% alcohol. Every area of the palate feels something. This is one of those beers that has you asking at the bar about hotel rooms and taxi service. Excellent effort.
