Can poured into fluted snifter.
Orange tinted deep straw. Head is just off pure white. Foamy, settles slowly into thick collar and floating islands.
Aroma is fresh citrus zest and sweet tropical fruit. Earthy and resinous with a hint of toasty malt.
Big citrus up front, bit of ripe tropical fruits then fruity sweetness and bit of a bitter punch backing everything up.
Soft on the tongue with moderate carbonation and medium body.
Tasty, fruity and earthy. Smooth and soft mouthfeel. Good brew.

16 oz. can purchased 4/8/17 at brewery and poured into Teku glass.
L: 1F+ head on pour. Good retention. Leaves spotty sticky lacing and small cap and ring. Beer is a semi-hazy golden with hints of orange.
S: A lot of pineapple in here, but also other ripe tropical fruits like melons and mango. More or less the signature Alchemist earthiness as it warms and develops.
T: More or less follows nose. Fruit-forward, then a fair amount of malt as it gets mid-palate, then a strong earthiness on the finish.
F: Medium-bodied, light to medium carbonation. Very solid construction and balance, as is the usual for Alchemist.
O: I don't absolutely love it if you directly compare to something like Pliny the Younger, but it holds up very nicely in the Alchemist canon.

pours out a beautiful golden orange color with a finger of dense bright white head and soapy bubbles on top - solid retention and lacing.
pungent aromas of slightly tart fleshy pineapple, peach, bubblegum, candied orange, grapefruit peel, bready malts, lemon-lime, mint, honeydew melons, cantaloupe, vegetal earthyness, floral, peppery spice, marijuana, pine... really evolves from first cracking the can relatively cold to when it warms.
on palate is huge crushed pineapple - easily one of the most pineapple forward brews ive tried, its like dried or crushed pineapple in the most beautiful way, has that like sweet fleshy pineapple flavor that is also tart and somehow slightly spicy. followed by candied orange, honey, earthy danks, ripe mango, melon, grapefruit peel, herbaceous grassyness, weedy plastic note, somewhat resinous pine but the bitterness is minimal. hugely ripe ripe fruits on this one, complex, balanced by the malts... mouthfeel is medium plus, has some really nice texture to it.
overall this one is absolutely insane in my book... the hop being profiled is so unique, and is one id love to see more of - brings huge and complex pineapple to the table. Ive only tried the first iteration of skadoosh, which was mosaic lupulin powder, and was excellent. but in all honesty I think this is my new favorite alchemist brew. gotta love vermont!!!
