Pours a hazy, bright golden orange color with a finger of off-white head. The head has excellent retention, hanging around for days before settling into a thin film. Leaves some splotchy lacing as it goes.
The aroma brings notes of lemon, grapefruit, and honeydew melon, with a back end of graham cracker malt. Slightly grassy and floral throughout.
The taste explodes with pine, grapefruit pith, lemon/lime, and some mild notes of melon, before giving way to a decent wave of sweet malts. The finish is floral with a salty bitterness that bites the tongue. Surprisingly bitter and well-balanced.
The feel is lighter in body with pretty hefty carbonation. Very crisp, and extremely resinous.
Overall, a very good IPA. I believe this is the first beer I've had using these experimental hops from the Yakima Valley. It's an extremely bitter IPA with a good malt presence, and an almost lager-like quality to it. Would definitely love to see this one again at The Alchemist.

light straw color, dense bright white head, some lacing.
aromas are bright and pithy - grapefruit peel, orange, lemon/lime, herbal and floral notes, some malt sweetness and hint of pine. also detecting a gummy like sweetness on the nose, really nice!
again, pithy and floral on palate, but also some sweetness provided by malt and some hints of tropical fruits, finishes with resinous piney note. mouthfeel is light-medium bodied and quite fluffly. overall, a really enjoyable and bright easy drinker... kind of amazed at how on point and distinct each of these skadoosh brews have been. keep em coming!!

Skadoosh VI
Bru-1 Hops (Experimental)
Small batch brewed and canned in Waterbury, VT
Labelled in Stowe, VT. ;)
Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a hazy, golden body with nice lacing. Nose runs the gamut of various types of tropical fruit and also a few floral attributes including honeysuckle! Wow! Taste has an unexpected bitterness after such aromas, but not too intrusive, with a nice clean, dry, crisp finish. Nice creamy mouthfeel and overall another winner from the cannery in Waterbury. Cheers!
