A- Tallboy poured into a chalice for reviewing purposes. The body is a hazy pale yellow to gold hue and the cap shoots up to about two inches high with a thick creamy texture and great retention. Lacing forms with a few wide sheets and small chutes of drizzle below them.
S- Hop bomb, can smell it from a few feet away after pouring. Dank herbs and juicy fruits explode out of the glass with just a hint of underlying pale malts and sweetness in the background. Mango, onion, mint, papaya, bubble gum, weed, tangerine and melon come to mind.
T- Shifts a bit from the juicy fruits being the dominant hop note to a more bitter, citrus-centric feel. Bitter ruby red grapefruit, mango, melon, onion, dank weed, mint, tangerine, orange and an intense citrus zest, sharp bitterness from the hops. Loses that sweetness and feels like less of a nectar than the aroma maybe suggested. A light sweetness but the hops and malts are mostly quiet.
MF- Light to medium overall body with a very high carbonation. The creamy and fluffy texture takes some of the edge of the bubbles but they do hit fairly hard and intensify the aforementioned oily citrus bitterness.
An out of this world aroma leads to a great flavor profile with a wide variety of things happening including citrus, tropical fruits, dank herbs and one fairly intense bitterness. The Alchemist knows their way around hops.

Picked it up yesterday. Pours a whitish-blonde hue with a nice head into my glass. Fresh, juicy cirus in the nose with pine sap in middle. Not your typical citrus IPA and for two reasons: 1. The hops and malt shine properly without a "citrus blast" as seen in those from other breweries. 2. Each hop selection (I-VIII) adds something to the mix. They're not all "smushed" together. Reminds me a lot of The Crusher with a more reasonable alcohol content. If you want something in-between Heady Topper and Focal, this is a good choice.

Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a hazy medium straw colored body with some lacing. Nose of dank pine, citrus, and ever so slight tropical fruit. Taste of bitter citrus and a certain sweetness weaving in and out of the bitterness with a fairly dry finish. Wonderful mouthfeel on this and overall, boom! Yet another winner from Stowe, VT. Cheers!
