Served in a tulip glass.
Pours a mahogany color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly with no lacing. The menu claims this beer "will keep you guessing from beginning to end." They are right. The aromas of oak, smoke, cherry and green apple take turns in the lead. The same goes with the flavors: chocolate, cherry, alcohol, oaky smoke, caramel with a light lemon/grapefruit. Highly carbonated, medium body, very mouthcleansing and easy drinking beer. Every sniff and sip is different, very interesting beer, definitely worth a try.

The description from the menu says you will be guessing from beginning to end with the this take on a brown ale. Presented from the tap, the bartender first gave me about an ounce to sample. The full pour was into a tulip glass with a frothy two fingers of pure white head that sustained well and left nice full belgian lace throughout the sample.
The nose was sweet with raisons, mollasses, maple syupy and baked bread.
The taste backed up the nose quite nicely. Very sweet to start but balanced well and smooth. Some rummy raison and maple syrup dominate with a balanced malt backbone and soft notes of caramel and toffee. No hop or bitterness at all (indicated at 8 IBU on the menu). Boardering on doublebock or scotch ale sweetness but the body was thinner. Medium carbonation and the residual sweetness sticks on the tounge.
Medium carbonation, slightly sticky, but not too heavy on the palate. Doublebock sweetness but swartzbier body.
A nice sweet twist on the brown ale. No slight caramel roasty BBQ flavors of some American browns and no hop profile or bitterness at all. Sweet but not cloying, and quite good.
