L: Beautiful deep orange, just a touch of haze. A good 1 1/2 inches of dense head.
S: A burst of mosaic even just from opening the can and pouring into a glass. Lots of wonderful stone fruit, mango, the deep peach/lush nose that occasionally you can get in really good IPAs but are very hard to come by.
T: Initial mosaic bitterness/citrus, but with piney resin halfway through and some earthy mossy-log texture. Malty sweet touches as well. Peppery spice kick at the end. A complex beer that changes throughout the glass.
F: Despite the heavy head, this is a medium-carbonated beer - very juicy, almost mouth-wateringly so. This blends nicely with the bitter/peppery taste.
O: People fawn over Heady Topper and Focal, but I really like this offering from the Alchemist. You don't see it distributed nearly as much across Vermont yet compared to the other two, and most of the time you'll find it via trades as it is available at the brewery. I grabbed these cans in Stowe after a trip up for a week. One thing that is worth noting is that Skadoosh has multiple iterations, so it is hard to distinguish across the 30+ offerings. This latest iteration, with Mosaic, is really fantastic and I think they really nailed it with this one. I'd pick this up consistently were it available throughout VT. Absolutely worth picking up.

Two different forms of Mosaic hops were used at two different times in the brewing process for this bad boy. Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a golden straw colored body with nice, sticky lacing. Dank nose of citrus, a little pine, and a tiny bit of tropical fruit with some earthy wet leaves kind of thing going on. Taste mirrors nose with a dank, dry, bitter finish. This is the real dank deal right here. Wonderful Skadoosh feel and overall, a real dank pleasure to experience. Cheers and dank you very much!!
