Two batches; one with Experimental XJA/2436 hops and one with Tropic hops blended together and then dry-hopped with Sublime hops. All three hops from South Africa.

Poured into the test glass from a 16 oz can purchased at the brewery 2 days prior.
A - Goldenrod colored backdrop, hazy and transluscent. Backlit this glows beautifully. Carbonation feeds a loose knit white froth. Lacing is stratacumulus.
S - Earthy, hint of chive or green onion, very slight, then the tropics roll in, papaya, dragon fruit, kiwi. Add a floral green tea and thats the start.
T - Sweet malts, cracker, green tea, again the tropics and earthy threads are all in there.
M - A bit slick, medium in body, dry finish, linger has a white pepper quality which I really like. The balance between sweet, fruity and bitter is remarkable.
O - My first of this series, glad to have this version, really complex and challenging hop profile. A pleasure on the palate, with a delightful body, and aromatics that are like a trip to a tropical plant greenhouse.

Long finish. Super hoppy and slightly dank smell. Tannic quality. Bitter hops, not much pine. Agree with the poster who said coconut notes. Soft tropical flavors merging mango and papaya with almost a floral tea aspect.

16 oz. can packaged the beginning of this week.
Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a very slightly hazy golden body with lacing. Nice nose of tropical fruit and slight pine with a bit of floral/herbal aromas as well. As it warms, there is also a bit of coconut on the nose with some pungent wet leaf aspects. Taste of all kinds of tropical fruit (lychee, pineapple, mango), a little bergamot, and even some plum-like flavors as well. Wow, very complex as it warms and so unique! Requisite Skadoosh feel and overall, a yet another home run in the Skadoosh series from The Alchemist.
Cheers!
