On tap at the brewpub.
Pours a deep and opaque black, impossible to see through, huge and thick brown head forms and slowly settles down to a thick layer around the glass, tons of chunky lace sticks all over, this looks pretty good.
Smell is real nice, brown sugar and raisin, caramel, sweet and malty, some figs, oats, lots of chocolate and dark roast, quite fruity, a bit of coffee, really nice.
Taste is great too, very sweet and malty, toffee, chocolate, nice roastiness, dark fruit, figs and raisins, a bit of cherry, licorice, oats, brown sugar, a touch of vanilla and biscuits, ABV is well hidden, really smooth.
Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, pretty chewy, with low silky carbonation. This goes down like nothing else, great beer.

taste is great. dark and milk chocolate. bit of bittersweet chocolate. espresso. lightly toasted whole wheat bread and biscuit. cracker. oatmeal. earthy and woody. light caramel. faint alcohol. a bit of dark fruit. milky lactose character.
mouthfeel is great. nice big body. silky smooth fairly low carbonation level.
drinkability is great. excellent balance. nice depth. a really tasty and enjoyable stout.

On tap poured into a small glass at the alchemist.
Pours a very dark black with a small light brown head with some very thin lacing. Nose is quite mild and subtle but nice and malty.
mouthfeel is phenomenal very tck and creamy and very full perfect for the style. Taste is very similar to founders breakfast stout but even better. Finish has very ligh carbonation super drinkable due to this

Nice deep brown pour with a proper tan head.
Nice roasty chocolate aroma.
I thought the taste to be slightly sweet and brought out more of a chocolate flavor along the roasted malt. Don't mis-interpert this as sweet, perhaps more a lactic acid.
I thought the body right on for the style and it was very drinkable.
I thought this beer went really well with my blackend burger.

Pours a pitch black color with a one-finger brown head.
Aroma is creamy and full of roasted malt and a hint of chocolate.
Mouthfeel is silky and creamy and full of light roasted malt and a hint of chocolate at the back.
Creaminess lingers along with a light reminder of the roasted malt.
Marvelous and no less than I expected. Would go very well with breakfast, particularly eggs and sausage.
