First release of local brewery’s mixed fermentation project, in a funky 500 ml wine like bottle. 15 months of age on this with bottling date of Dec 19/18.
Pours a slightly less than clear (minus the dregs left in bottle) bronze/orange colour with half finger creamy white head.
Aroma is fruity with significant oak, very much white wine/oak aged Chardonnay like with funky, slightly spicy notes, a touch of barnyard.
Taste fruity - peach, plum, oaky, funky, touch of bandaid - a mild tartness tries to push through but fruity funk sweetness pushes it back with a little earthy hop bitterness.
Gentle carbonation - medium mouthfeel - refreshingly crisp and dry finish.
