like all the beer here, i dont think this is quite there yet. they promote the heck out of using all wild and native yeasts, but those elements are so underdeveloped in all of their stuff that its almost an irrelevant fact about them rather than a descriptor of what they should taste like. in this one, one of their lightest, the yeasts add no sourness at all, very little funk, and instead present themselves as some sort of mild saison strain, fermented a little warm with a hint of that belgian fruity thing, but not at all over the top, neither rustic or clean, not boring, but very subtle, hardly wild. there is a fine hop profile to this one, juicy and fresh and right for spring, and the grain base is wheaty and has some body while maintaining a delicate lightness as well, which i really dig, it just seems not quite done evolving, and its not as dry as it could be. i actually really liked the beer here, but thought a lot of them were kind of samey. this was really cloudy too and a little still, so it had a somewhat amateur overall vibe to it, but i can see it being on its way to greatness, the potential at this brewery is enormous, and its only a matter of time until they really find their stride. very drinkable, but lacking as a wild ale.

This beer arrives a clear deep yellow color with a slight haze. The head is dense, and bright white. Lacing is sticky and good. The aroma is very robust for the alcohol. Lemon pepper, hay, and oranges. The taste is a bit lighter than the aroma, but still big for the alcohol. It is danker too (not is a nugget hop sort of way, but in a wet barnyard kind of way). The mouthfeel is light bodied, but tefrains from being watery. The carbonation is spot on refreshing. Overall, this is my kind of session beer. I could drink this all day long regardless of weather. I can see it going well with food too. It's a damn fine beer.
