Abandoned Acre is a love song to the simple lifestyle of old. After resting in our coolship overnight, we open fermented this saison in our wood cellar and then transferred into oak barrels to be aged for 18 months to develop loads of farmhouse funk to go along with notes of citrus, oak and black pepper.

Poured from 750ml bottle into glass. Bottles were released for sale on 4/21/2018.
Slightly cloudy, pale gold colored body. White fizzy head quickly disappears. Rising bubbles keep the thin ring alive. No lacing.
Pleasant citrus and oak in the aroma. Overlay of farmyard funk.
Taste is very expressive with slightly sweet citrus, a earthy flavor of oak, but lots of great funk (balanced between sweet and sour).
Medium mouth feel, fizzy carbonation, with some tongue pop.
A well accomplished beer. Very high levels of flavor and smells. Totally enjoyable as a funky farmhouse ale with pleasant notes of citrus and oak. Kudos to Wild Mind.
