Saison Amalgam was blended with more fresh saison and a smaller volume of foeder beer to keep this Biere de Coupage light and fresh. The house yeast culture shines through and gives the beer notes of melon and pear alongside a bright acidity.

A blend of foeder beer and fresh saison.

No gushing for this one, and a relatively normal pour to bring the tall head to the top of the 20oz tulip glass.

Pale yellow, hazy, with plenty of rising bubbles to a tall, fluffy white head. The head recedes moderately leaving behind disconnected islands of lacing.

Funky and acid sour aroma.

Taste is mild and funky. Very subdued, and the sour aroma comes through in the taste as a mild tartness. Once I became acclimated to the funky tartness, the underlying fruit flavors came through as well. Melon and tree fruit flavors. The brewer says pear, but I'm getting maybe green apple. The flavor in total is great, it is just a bit subdued. Finish is dry and crisp. The tartness/funk lingers in the aftertaste. Little to no bitterness; the overall impression

Feel is moderate and tingly, good carbonation level. Refreshing and crisp.

Overall, a well done saison on the funky and acid/tart side.
