i have to confess, i am not totally sure which version of the lupujus i had, i didnt honestly know it was a series when i was in, so if i am wrong on the edition, please forgive me, i am not even sure it was spelled out on the beer menu here, but probably on me, not them. in any event, its exceptional hoppy beer, new school through and through and more dry hopped than bitter or flavor, its great, and my confidence it high that i have the right iteration here. its has notes of passion fruit, lemon, squeezed melon, and lime, but its all kind of intermixed and nonspecific. there are cool flavors here from white lifesaver candy to actual pineapple and red and green apple and just the essence of life. i like the grain being fuller and starchy but still dry and without any toasted or caramelized richness, its just earthy and dry, good like that. it pops with passion fruit, white wine, and scaling a tilapia from the grocery store on a wednesday, just ever so slightly fishy, but in an intriguing way like a milky oyster will suck you in, and its either great reward or two days of sickness, but worth the risk. this does something similar, lower risk obviously, its just a beer, but its playful and daring and good, and maybe you should be afraid to dip the toe. this is the best of the beers we had here, super tasty and drinkable and fresh and good, another hazy, but ill remember this one...
