REMEMBER! REMEMBER! Mud Pie Pastry Stout.

To mimic a favorite Montana desert, we brewed this beer with loads of Oreo cookies and marshmallows, and then conditioned it on organic cacao, grade A Tahitian vanilla, and espresso beans from Black Coffee Roasting Co. You may be thinking this all sounds gimmicky...until you try it and see how well everything works together.

Imagine Nation went ahead and made a chocolate cream pie stout. It is dark chocolate fudge with the perfect amount of sweetness. It has a grittiness to almost like it was brewed with cake mix. It doesn't take away from the beer, just noticed the effect. A great new spin on the dessert stout lineup.

New brewery for me arrives in a 16 oz. can dated 10.29.20. I won’t hold its year of creation against it. Yet.

Cholera black. The nose is one-dimensionally tame: sweet.

Remember! Remember! is chock-full of sweet. I mean, I used to eat raw Pop Tarts by the handful & this is just too much. Sweet, sweet vanilla is stamped on this like a cattle brand layered with chocolate, turbinado sugar, short slash of bitterness that would be welcome in much greater volume – the marshmallow & espresso get lost in the whirlwind of sugar. Thin – tastes more like a session stout than double digits, & that doesn’t help hold up the heapings of additional ingredients. A taster would have been plenty.

Throwing the kitchen sink into a beer & maintaining a drinkable balance takes a delicate hand. This was more like Shrek’s hand. Not a very good beer.

Pours tar black, no lasting head or definition, not even viscosity. Smells of roasted malts with oreo chocolate pudding heaped on top with a kiss of vanilla, but some clashing happening. Taste is more astringently bitter on the finish, hello metal and ash, ruining the chocolate matrix up front. Feel is thin yet sugary despite bitter complexion, malty and roasted. Not worth your time as flaws are too much to overcome
