Shoutout to Tavour for supplying me with my first beer from Montana, a state not exactly known for beer. Admittedly, I only ordered this one to check another state off of my list, but hopefully it can keep up. Let’s crack it open and see what it has to offer
Pours a hazy orange gold with 3 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
For a 3+ month old can, the nose feels pretty bright and balanced. I’m picking up on aromas of bready malt, pineapple juice, peach rings, earthy hops, dank weed, papaya, orange juice, and light cantaloupe
It doesn’t lean as tropical in taste as the nose would suggest, but is still good nonetheless. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting orange juice, grassy hops, bready malt, pineapple juice, white pepper, and light weed. The swallow brings notes of bready malt, earthy hops, orange juice, white pepper, grapefruit zest, papaya, and light pineapple juice
A medium full body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes mostly dry with a slight boozy bite
It’s not breaking any new ground, but it’s solid all around. Good stuff
