Alchemy 18 - The Alchemy Series is our chance to experiment with different ingredients and processes in order to further develop our capacity to craft delicious and novel brews. Our previous batch of Alchemy was amongst our favorite IPAs to date. To further our understanding of what made that beer so special, we brewed a nearly identical recipe and used a nearly identical process, but with our house yeast strain instead of the experimental strain from the last batch. Pale and incredibly hazy, Alchemy 18 is generously hopped with our hand selected Citra, New Zealand Motueka, and El Dorado, imparting explosive hop notes of chewy mango candy, passion fruit sorbet, fresh lime juice, and peach tart. Understanding the subtle but present differences between Alchemy 17 and 18 has drastically improved our understanding of yeast's contribution to finished beer flavor and texture. We hope you enjoy this evolution of our NEIPA program as much as we do!
